Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

As part of a specialized clinical team, you will provide critical respiratory support for patients requiring extended care following severe illness or chronic conditions.

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must possess a valid Respiratory Therapist license
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Previous experience working in long-term acute care hospitals or similar healthcare settings preferred
  • Knowledgeable in ventilator management, weaning protocols, and advanced respiratory care
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized, individualized respiratory therapy services to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, support ventilator weaning plans, and assess patient progress
  • Provide comprehensive management for conditions such as COPD and chronic bronchitis by utilizing best practices and advanced therapeutic techniques
  • Collaborate daily with physicians, skilled nursing staff, physical therapists, cardiologists, and pulmonologists to optimize patient care plans
  • Document patient interventions and responses in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
  • Support therapies aimed at symptom reduction, rehabilitation, and improvement of respiratory function
