As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) support for manufacturing operations, with a focus on rotor and unit assembly areas. In this highly visible role, you'll bridge the gap between engineering and production, helping resolve manufacturing challenges, improve product quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Your expertise will directly influence operational efficiency, defect reduction efforts, and the successful delivery of world-class energy solutions.
What You'll DoKey Responsibilities
Serve as the engineering liaison for manufacturing teams, supporting rotor and unit assembly operations.
Review, evaluate, and develop technical solutions for manufacturing issues as they arise.

Analyze non-conforming or deviant hardware using:
Hand calculations
CAD modeling
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Internal engineering evaluation tools
Conduct technical assessments to support rework dispositions and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Support defect reduction initiatives through enhanced engineering definitions and improved manufacturing processes.
Update and revise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation as needed.
Participate in technical reviews and provide engineering recommendations to support production objectives.
Ensure designs and manufacturing processes align with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Proficiency with CAD software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing methods, and industry standards.
Ability to evaluate technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work onsite in Greenville, SC during first-shift hours.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE, including safety vest and steel-toe footwear.
Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or assembly operations.
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and methodologies.
Experience interpreting and revising engineering drawings and specifications.
Background in design liaison engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
Experience within heavy industrial, energy, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $53.15 per hour
