School Psychologist - Middletown, OH
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by providing essential psychological services to students in a supportive educational environment. As a contract School Psychologist, you’ll work closely with educators, families, and other professionals to help students achieve their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and evaluations in a school setting
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies for students
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant educational regulations
- Compassionate approach, with attention to confidentiality and ethical practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team in eligibility determination meetings
- Design, recommend, and help implement appropriate interventions and behavior management plans
- Provide consultation and support to educators and parents regarding students’ academic and emotional needs
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as required
- Maintain thorough, confidential records in compliance with district policy and state law
- Support the development of IEPs and 504 plans
