Job Description
Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled School Psychologists eager to make a difference in the lives of K–12 students near Alpharetta, GA. There are two immediate openings—one for a full-time position and another covering a maternity leave. Both roles offer 30+ hours per week, providing ample time to deliver meaningful support and interventions.
Your primary objective will be to identify and address special learning and emotional/behavioral challenges among students. This involves conducting thorough psychoeducational assessments and consulting with educators, parents, and students to develop effective remediation strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Current state certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience with psychoeducational assessment and counseling in a K–12 setting preferred
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and documentation
- Ability to interpret assessment data and make actionable recommendations
- Experience developing individualized education and intervention plans is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students across all grade levels
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings; assist with program planning and implementation
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary evaluation and service documentation
- Support a positive school climate and foster relationships with diverse student populations
