Position SummaryThis position is dedicated to delivering both professional and non-professional nursing care services as per physician directives. The role encompasses various Clinical Nurse responsibilities, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care requirements for a specific group of patients. It also involves providing nursing care and executing clinical support tasks within the defined scope of practice to fulfill the patient’s care plan. A valid nursing license is required. This is a professional role that may involve overseeing the work of junior professionals or managing specific processes and programs. The majority of the time will be spent on designing, implementing, or delivering processes, programs, and policies, utilizing specialized knowledge typically gained through advanced education. This experienced-level position requires practical knowledge of the job area, usually acquired through advanced education and relevant work experience. The role operates independently under general supervision, addressing challenging but typically straightforward problems, and may influence others by clarifying facts, policies, and practices.

Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:- Active RN Licensure in Massachusetts.
- At least two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Department-specific certifications relevant to the type of patient care provided.

- Conducts nursing activities that foster a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, promoting comfort and healing while preventing unnecessary suffering.

- Assesses and identifies expected patient outcomes based on diagnoses, data, and patient concerns.

- Creates and implements individualized, outcomes-based care plans that consider the readiness and barriers to learning for patients and families.
- Utilizes evidence-based interventions and treatments tailored to specific diagnoses or issues.
- Documents all aspects of care in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies, including treatments performed and patient responses.
- Executes procedures and treatments based on nursing knowledge and judgment, adhering to established guidelines and professional standards.
- Safely administers medications and assesses patient responses, applying knowledge of pharmacology and care standards.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of care strategies based on patient responses and expected outcomes.
- Develops and coordinates comprehensive discharge plans, utilizing appropriate resources and referrals for a smooth transition for patients and families.
- Creates educational plans for patients and families, using suitable resources and adhering to documentation standards.
- Participates in patient safety, quality improvement, and process enhancement activities to support better patient outcomes.
- Provides leadership at the bedside as a delegator, collaborator, facilitator, and communicator.
- Maintains positive working relationships with peers and colleagues to foster a professional environment.
- Collaborates with nursing colleagues and other disciplines to implement care plans through participation in reporting rounds.
- Delegates responsibilities to others based on their roles and capabilities.
- Treats all customers with courtesy and respect, acknowledging cultural differences among staff and patients.

- Occasional lifting of 30-35 lbs and repositioning of patients.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and potential carcinogenic substances.
- Exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
- Requires fine motor skills for patient handling.
- Requires visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient care effectively.
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
- Knowledge and application of the nursing process.
