A full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist who is passionate about supporting students and their educational journey. This contract role runs for the entire 2026-2027 academic year, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in schools located near Smyrna, GA. The position is strictly onsite and involves a balanced caseload, with approximately half your time dedicated to PreK evaluations and the other half focused on serving an elementary school population.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience with PreK evaluations and elementary school caseloads strongly preferred
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
  • Commitment to collaborative, multi-disciplinary work in educational settings
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet diverse student needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional assessments for PreK and elementary students
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention strategies
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student support meetings
  • Deliver crisis intervention and counseling as needed
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with state and school guidelines
  • Support a safe and inclusive school environment for all students
