Job Description
Make an impact supporting students across elementary and middle school settings as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity involves collaborating with educators and families to empower K-8th grade students through essential psychological services and interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Minnesota School Psychologist License required
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development and implementation
- Proficiency providing counseling and behavioral interventions to students
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, and parents
- Strong background in crisis intervention and student safety procedures
- Previous caseload management for K-8 population highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Serve a group of approximately 25-35 elementary students (K-5th grade) and 20-30 middle school students (6th-8th grade), all within a single school building
- Develop and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), evaluating student needs and progress
- Provide individual and small group counseling as well as behavioral support
- Engage in proactive safety planning and assist with crisis response when necessary
- Work closely with other staff and parents to foster a supportive educational environment
- Offer expert consultation around student mental health, learning challenges, and social-emotional development
