Overview\n
\nThe MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.\n

Full-Time (36-hrs per week)

Days - Thurs, Fri, Sat (3-12's)

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000*

\n

\n

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

\n

Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.

\n

Licensure/Certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). BLS Basic Life Support

\n

Other Skills & Knowledge:

\n

· IV Insertion

\n

· Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.

\n

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:

\n

· Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.

\n

· Continual standing or walkng.

\n

· Adapt to stressful situations.

\n

Preferred Education: Bachelor degree

\n

Preferred Experience: at least 1 year of relevant experience.

\n

Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT - 1 Advanced registry (MRI)

\n
