Hematology/Oncology, Hematology/Oncology Opportunity with Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA

Johnston Memorial Hospital and an Employed Hematology/Oncology Group located in Abingdon, VA, are currently seeking a BE/BC, full-time Hem/Onc Physician to join their established, stable group. Candidate will join a wonderful medical community with supportive administration and Radiation Oncology onsite with TruBeam & SBRT capabilities. There are active navigation programs, American Cancer Society Resource Room and partnership with non-profits such as Susan G. Komen, Cancer Outreach etc. A robust and aligned local medical community support this service and many of the providers are aligned with Ballad Health.

Support Staff:

• Physician will join two additional Hem/Onc Physicians and APPs.
\n
• The APPs manage infusion services and see acute & symptomatic patients and work under the direct supervision of the physician group.
\n
• There is a large, diverse support staff of APPs, RNs, dietary, navigators, schedulers, pre-cert and financial team.
\n
• Practice includes a full-service infusion room and a typical out-patient oncology practice.
\n
• Pharmacy is managed by hospital-based team, which includes an oncology boarded pharmacist on staff.
\n
• Support from specialists to include: Rad Onc, Surgery, Pulm, GI, Urology, OB/GYN, Pathology, Radiology (including IR).
\n
• There is also a strong primary care cohort with IM and FM residents training at JMH.
\n
