Real Estate Title Agent

Job Title: Real Estate Title Agent
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
Location: Jackson MI 49201

Duties:

• Thorough understanding of various conveyance documents, land related contracts and agreements, including but not limited to, fee simple, rights-of-way, leases, easements, licenses, permits and releases.
• Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action
• Ability to plan and organize workload adjusts to changing priorities and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights. or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action.
• Effectively use Owner's established policies, procedures, processes to perform work.

Skills:

• Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
• Through knowledge of how to read and interpret land legal descriptions.
• Must be proficient in land title research in courthouse and other government offices of record and be able to prepare chain of title.
• Prepare and utilize spreadsheets to support Real Estate efforts.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry with at least 1 year working in the capacity of a Title Agent.

• Support research teams within title department both internal and external title research- Research land owner rights, running titles, registered deeds, etc.
• Must have title research experience, legal description required-
• Location – Prefer to start in Jackson, MI- will be remote after-
• Degree- prefers experience over degree
• Right away/title experience- not real estate certs required
• Must understand Michigan Rights if they are not local
• Looking to hire/review resumes after 4th of July
