As a Diesel Apprentice, you will thrive in a dynamic environment while ensuring cleanliness and friendliness. You will engage with customers and drivers from diverse backgrounds, enhancing their travel experiences. If you have a knack for mechanics but lack professional experience, don’t worry—we’re here to train you!
In the apprentice program, you will learn:
- Electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Diagnostics and repairs for air conditioning and heating systems
- Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
- Air system diagnostics and repairs
- Diagnostics and repairs for air brakes
- Charging system diagnostics and repairs
- Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
- Parts lookup and procurement
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with roadside assistance
- Learn and perform preventative maintenance services
- Ability to lift and move over 75 pounds while working in confined spaces
- Adapt to various temperature conditions
- Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction by adhering to company safety protocols
- Work on a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts as required
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (cost covered by the organization)
