Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a Mental Health Therapist for a local school district near Toledo, IA. In this contract position, you'll work part-time (20 hours per week) to provide essential psychological and counseling services, covering a maternity leave from October through December. The district values expertise from a range of credentialed professionals, including LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMSW, or School Psychologist licensure.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Iowa licensure as LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMSW, or School Psychologist
- Experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, or within educational settings
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external providers
- Commitment to supporting student growth and well-being
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students referred for behavioral, emotional, or academic concerns
- Develop and implement intervention plans in coordination with school staff
- Perform psychological assessments as needed
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families regarding student mental health needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Participate in relevant meetings and case conferences
