Position Type: 13-Week Contract
Start Date: August 3, 2026
End Date: October 31, 2026
- Rotating Day/Evening/Night Shifts
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback as required
Join the Neurosurgery ICU Stepdown team at URMC, caring for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team providing care for patients recovering from brain tumors, stroke, spinal disorders, epilepsy surgery, neuroendovascular procedures, and other advanced neurological conditions.
Required Experience- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Recent ICU Stepdown or PCU experience (Required)
- High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience
- Telemetry monitoring experience
Candidates should have experience with:
- Q1 Neurological Assessments
- External Ventricular Drains (EVD)
- Lumbar & Subdural Drains
- 3% Normal Saline Infusions
- Cardene Drips
- Arterial Lines
- Carotid Endarterectomy Patients
- Aneurysm Coiling & Clipping
- Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) Patients
- VP Shunts
- Seizure Management
- Active New York RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Recent EPIC EMR experience
