Quick Facts Location: 1400 East Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Permanent Shift: M-F, rotating through operating room coverage; full days in clinics and ICU Hours/Week: 40 hours/week Employment Type: Full-time Licenses/Certifications: Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado; DEA certification required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiovascular or cardiac ICU/ surgery preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Package: Competitive annual salary between $100,588 and $143,769 (based on experience) Additional Compensation: Eligibility for quality and productivity bonuses, relocation bonus for qualifying candidates Insurance & Retirement: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance including dependent coverage; 403(b) with employer match, optional 457(b) plan Paid Time Off & Leave: PTO from day one, paid family and medical leave (including Colorado FAMLI) Additional Benefits: Paid malpractice insurance, CME allowance, tuition assistance, wellness programs, voluntary benefits such as identity theft protection and pet insurance What You'll Do Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, emphasizing compassionate, patient-first treatment Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and assisting in procedures Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation in CVICU, floors, and clinics Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed Rotate through operating room coverage from Monday to Friday Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostic tests Develop and follow through on care plans and patient follow-up Prescribe medications in line with regulatory requirements Perform bedside procedures as appropriate Maintain thorough and timely documentation of care provided Demonstrate clinical expertise and work independently under physician supervision Maintain ongoing education to meet state and national requirements Adapt to a dynamic, high-stress clinical setting with flexibility and teamwork What You Need Colorado Nurse Practitioner license Minimum 2 years' experience in cardiac or cardiovascular ICU/surgery preferred Ability to perform bedside procedures and manage complex patient cases Strong communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills About the Assignment Join a dedicated and innovative team at a top healthcare facility in Colorado Springs, committed to providing world-class cardiothoracic care.
