Job Description
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time, contract-to-hire role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by providing psychological services and evaluations in an educational setting near El Campo, TX.
Your expertise will help assess and identify students' needs, guiding intervention strategies and empowering positive student outcomes. Key responsibilities include conducting AU (Autism) evaluations—approximately 66—and EU (Educational) assessments—approximately 19—contributing to collaborative educational planning and supporting a diverse student population.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification and credentials as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience with school-based psychological services
- Proficiency in conducting autism (AU) and educational (EU) evaluations
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and eligibility determination
- Effective communication and collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
- Familiarity with intervention and counseling strategies for student support
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychological assessments and write detailed reports
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation results
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations based on assessment findings
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed within the school environment
- Serve as a resource for behavior management and evidence-based intervention practices
- Stay current on best practices for supporting students with autism and other needs
This is a full-time position spanning from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with scheduled interviews held in the mid-morning next week (besides 7/21 or 7/24).
