School Psychologist in Wharton, TX

This opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers the chance to work collaboratively within a school environment near Wharton, TX. You’ll have an immediate impact, performing essential autism (AU) and educational (EU) evaluations for a dedicated caseload.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid credential or eligibility as a School Psychologist in Texas
• Demonstrated experience with autism (AU) assessments and educational (EU) evaluations
• Strong understanding of special education laws, assessment tools, and best practices
• Excellent communication and consultation skills with educators, students, and families
• Proficient with collaborative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 66 AU (Autism) evaluations and 19 EU (Educational) evaluations throughout the school year
• Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams for IEP development and intervention planning
• Maintain accurate and ethical documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
• Facilitate and interpret psychoeducational assessments
• Deliver crisis intervention and contribute to proactive school-wide supports
