In this part-time (20 hours per week) role, you’ll cover a maternity leave from October through December, enriching the well-being of students and collaborating closely with educators and families.
Your expertise as an LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMSW, or Psychologist will help foster a positive, inclusive, and resilient school environment. Your insights and support will make a meaningful impact as students navigate academic and social-emotional challenges.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active State of Iowa licensure as LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMSW, or Psychologist
- Experience in school or youth-focused settings preferred
- Solid understanding of mental health assessment and intervention
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Compassion, adaptability, and a student-centered mindset
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health therapy and support to students in need
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners to develop intervention strategies
- Facilitate individual and small-group counseling sessions
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in compliance with school standards
- Guide staff in recognizing and addressing signs of mental health concerns
- Participate in meetings and contribute to IEP or intervention team processes
