As a vital member of the patient care team, you will assess, evaluate, and provide services based on a treatment plan developed by a physician. You will also oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring quality care. Peer evaluations will be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Physical Therapist:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, which may include OASIS data elements, to determine the patient's physical functioning and need for therapy services.

  • Engage in discussions with the physician, gather input from patients and caregivers, and create a care plan aimed at helping patients achieve their maximum rehabilitation potential.

  • Implement prescribed treatments and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing the therapy program.

  • Develop and instruct patients on a home exercise program (HEP), documenting these instructions in visit notes.

  • Monitor and report any significant changes in the patient's condition to the physician, and communicate these changes to the rest of the care team.

  • Ensure all services are documented in accordance with agency policies.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions and situations.

  • Provide the agency with necessary documentation, including a copy of your license/registration, to verify your qualifications.

  • Accept only those assignments for which you are qualified.

  • Adhere to all applicable State, Federal, Local, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Keep all patient and agency information confidential.

  • Follow all policies and procedures, including those related to HIPAA compliance.


Utilize Your Skills to Make a Difference

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.

  • Licensure: Must be licensed/registered as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.

  • Experience: A minimum of one year of current experience as a Physical Therapist.

  • Supervision: At least one year of experience working under the guidance of a Registered Physical Therapist.

  • Driver Requirements: This position is part of a driver safety program, necessitating a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum coverage of 100,000/300,000/100,000.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time employment (40 hours per week) at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

$93,000 - $128,000 per year

This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and/or company performance.
