Our organization is currently in search of a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurohospitalist for an inpatient-only role. This position will primarily be based at our facility, a 312-bed Level 3 trauma center situated in Bristol, Tennessee, which is recognized as a primary stroke center. The role will also involve some duties at Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC) in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) in Johnson City, Tennessee, both located approximately 15 miles from Bristol.

We are part of a comprehensive health system comprising 21 hospitals that span a 29-county region. This includes three tertiary care facilities, 18 community and critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 urgent care locations, and numerous specialty offices through our employed network, which consists of over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners.

What We Offer:

  • Average patient load: 12-15 patients (including consults)

  • This role encompasses inpatient stroke care and general neurology, including consultations in the intensive care unit, general medical floor, and emergency department, as well as interpreting routine and prolonged EEGs.

About Our Facility:

Located in Bristol, Tennessee, our medical center is a 312-bed hospital serving the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia regions. We are equipped with advanced medical technologies, including stereotactic radiosurgery with TrueBeam STx and Brainlab, multidimensional cardiac catheterization labs, and surgical robotics such as the DaVinci Xi for minimally invasive procedures and MAKO for joint replacements. Our services also feature an Advanced Certified Total Hip and Total Knee joint replacement center, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, the Deborah H.
