Emergency Veterinarian (DVM) - $100,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Idaho Falls, ID
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
Provide emergency and urgent medical care for companion animals.
Manage an emergency caseload of approximately 10-20 patients per 12-hour shift.
Perform intermittent soft tissue and emergency surgical procedures as needed.
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for emergency cases.
Manage hospitalized patients and provide follow-up outpatient care.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and patient progress.
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
Primarily treat dogs and cats, with occasional exotic animal cases for the local zoo or euthanasia of exotics.
Education, Licensure, and Experience
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
Active Idaho Veterinary License or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
Emergency medicine experience.
Major and minor surgical experience.
Critical care experience.
Schedule:
12-hour rotating shifts
Day, evening, and overnight shifts
Weekend and holiday rotations required
