Job Description

Schedule: PRN - weekday or weekend call coverage (Friday 5pm-Monday 7am)

\n

Location: Arlington, VA

\n

Responsibilities

\n

* Provide on-call, as-needed coverage for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery services at VHC, Inpatient and ER.

\n

* Manage a limited number of inpatient cases, with a focus on post-operative care and management

\n

* Perform both cardiac and thoracic surgeries as needed, with an emphasis on urgent or emergent procedures

\n

* Maintain a high standard of care and quality in all patient interactions and procedures

\n

* Work collaboratively with mid-level providers for patient care support

\n

Minimum Requirements

\n

* MD or DO

\n

* Currently licensed or able to obtain the license in Virginia

\n

* Successful completion of residency program in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship training in Cardio or Thoracic Surgery

\n

* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery

\n

* Training and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferred

\n

Compensation Range: $120.20/hr - $265.50/hr
