\nJoin the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, as a full-time Otolaryngologist for our Kernersville Health Care Center location. \nDuties Include:
\nAs an Otolaryngologist at the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center:

Leadership & Accountability: Work under the ACOS of Surgery, maintaining comprehensive surgical and clinical services.
\n - \n
Team Collaboration: Integrate with an interdisciplinary staff, including physicians, extenders, technicians, and administrative personnel.
\n - \n
Clinical Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, effective patient care, including health promotion, disease treatment, and end-of-life care.
\n - \n
Documentation & Maintenance: Manage open encounters, consult maintenance, and required documentation as per CPRS.
\n - \n
Quality & Safety Oversight: Participate in clinic productivity, quality measures, patient safety, and process improvements.
\n - \n
Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning, ethical practice, and sensitivity to diversity.
\n - \n
Communication Skills: Foster professional relationships with patients, families, and health care team members.
\n - \n
Educational Role: Contribute to teaching, oversee educational activities, and supervise trainees.
\n - \n
Research Contribution: Plan and conduct research programs, generating reports and publications based on findings.
\n

Competitive Salary Range: $350,000-$400,000.
\n - \n
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Requirements:
\nU.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
\nEducation: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
\nLicensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
\nResidency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
\nBoard Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology.
\nPreferred Experience: Current American Board of Otolaryngology certification or eligibility requirements
