Building Maintenance Technician – Building Systems
\nPay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 / hour
\n\n
Quad Sussex, WI is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of facility building systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining HVAC, plumbing, utilities, and general building systems to ensure a safe and reliable work environment.
\n\n
Candidates with general maintenance experience are encouraged to apply—HVAC or electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
\nPaid relocation may be available for highly qualified candidates located 100+ miles from the plant.

Schedule:
\n 12-hour shifts (3 days one week, 4 days the next)
\n Rotating days every 4 months
\n
Key Responsibilities
\nBuilding Systems & Maintenance
\n- \n
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and utilities \n
- Assist with maintaining heating, cooling, and ventilation systems \n
- Support upkeep of refrigeration equipment such as coolers and air dryers \n
- Help maintain water systems, including basic treatment and monitoring \n
General Facility Maintenance
\n- \n
- Complete general building repairs such as:\n
- \n
- Plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, drains) \n
- Minor wall repairs, painting, and ceiling tile replacement \n
- Roof leak patching and basic structural repairs \n
\n - Maintain and repair doors, dock equipment, and other facility components \n
Equipment & Mechanical Support
\n- \n
- Assist with maintenance of motors, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment \n
- Perform basic fabrication, repairs, and adjustments as needed \n
Grounds & Seasonal Work
\n- \n
- Perform basic grounds maintenance and landscaping \n
- Assist with snow removal and operate equipment as needed \n
Safety & Teamwork
\n- \n
- Follow all safety policies and procedures \n
- Keep work areas clean and organized \n
- Work from maintenance schedules, service requests, and team priorities \n
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors \n

Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- High School Diploma or GED \n
- 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or related experience \n
- Willingness to learn and take on a variety of maintenance tasks \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
- Willingness to work overtime as needed \n
\n
Required Skills

- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability \n
- Experience using hand and power tools safely \n
- Ability to follow instructions and read basic technical information \n
- Strong work ethic and reliability \n
- Must provide own basic hand tools \n
\n
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, or building systems \n
- Basic electrical knowledge (motors, controls, or troubleshooting) \n
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment \n
- Technical training or certifications in maintenance-related fields \n
- Valid driver’s license (for snow removal equipment operation) \n

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally \n
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods \n
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces \n
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions \n
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts \n
