Traveling Tarping Installer

Tarping Installer (TRAVEL)

Pay: $50,000–$70,000/year (based on availability/workload)

Overview: Travel across the U.S. installing and securing heavy-duty tarps over large material stockpiles (e.g., salt, aggregate) to protect from weather and contamination.

What You’ll Do:

• Deploy and secure large tarps using ropes, straps, and sandbags
• Lift/move materials (50–75+ lbs) consistently
• Work at heights and in all weather conditions
• Sew/repair tarps (portable machines)
• Follow PPE and safety/DOT guidelines
• Keep sites clean and organized

Schedule & Travel:

• Up to 12–14 days away at a time
• Long/irregular hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed)

Requirements:

• Physically fit; able to lift 75+ lbs consistently
• Comfortable with heights and outdoor work
• Valid driver’s license + acceptable driving record and over the age of 25 (insurance requirement)
• Reliable transportation to Madison, WI
• Team-oriented, dependable, problem-solver
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal Background check and drug screen

Preferred:

• Roofing, landscaping, construction, or similar labor experience
