Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a school psychologist in the Houston area for the upcoming academic year. This contract role runs from July 27th through May 27th, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students across multiple campuses. You’ll contribute to student success in a collaborative, educational environment while gaining experience with a diverse caseload.
Your expertise will support a caseload of approximately 60-80 students, completing 8-10 student evaluations each month. The position spans 37.5 hours per week and requires traveling between 2-3 local school sites—perfect for professionals who enjoy variety in their workday.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 student populations
- Strong skills in conducting evaluations, assessments, and creating intervention plans
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to work across multiple schools
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and re-evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student interventions
- Consult with educators and families regarding students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
- Attend IEP meetings and provide recommendations aligned with best practices
