Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state or national level)
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in school psychology or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience with psychological assessments, intervention planning, and counseling within a school setting
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and special education processes
- Ability to work effectively with students preschool through high school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students referred to special education services
- Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for individualized support
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor interventions
- Provide direct counseling services to support student social-emotional development
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
