Job Overview:

The role involves delivering direct nursing care in environments where patients need intricate assessments and interventions, adhering to the established policies and protocols of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Primary Duties:

  • Gather comprehensive information relevant to the patient's health and circumstances.
  • Prioritize patient care through triage, utilizing age-appropriate and culturally sensitive methods to ensure timely attention for those in urgent need.
  • Evaluate assessment data to identify diagnoses or issues.
  • Establish expected outcomes tailored to the individual patient or situation.
  • Implement and coordinate care while educating to foster health and safety.
  • Assess progress towards achieving desired outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively across various formats in all practice areas.
  • Exhibit leadership within the professional setting and the nursing field.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills that reflect current nursing practices.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge in emergency nursing, ensuring care is aligned with the patient's specific needs.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience:

  • No prior experience necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly use speech for effective communication.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry.
  • Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances, including color differentiation.
  • Regularly use smell to identify odors.
  • Consistently use hearing to receive communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional patient handling.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other movements.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Rarely crawling or running.
