Criminal Defense Attorney

Portner & Shure is one of the leading criminal defense firms in Virginia. We are seeking a leading associate attorney to handle criminal cases for our expanding Virginia Beach, Virginia practice. Must be able to work on multiple cases at different stages of the process.\n

\n*Responsibilities:*\n
\n
\n* Represent clients in the General District Court / Circuit Court\n
\n* Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients\n
\n
\n*Qualifications:*\n
\n
\n* Experience in criminal defense\n
\n* Advise clients about their legal rights and options\n
\n* Conduct legal research and devise an effective strategy to defend the client(s) in court\n
\n* Gather evidence in support of the case\n
\n* Present evidence in court\n
\n* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n
\n* Ability to build rapport with clients\n
\n* Speak Spanish a plus but not required\n
\n
\n*Qualifications and Skills*\n

\n* Must be proficient with handling a high volumes of cases\n
\n* Must be an active member and in good standing with the Virginia bar\n
\n* Must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.\n
\n* Must have excellent attention to detail and stellar organization skills\n

\nCompensation range begins at *$100,000* depending on experience and qualifications.\n
