School Psychologist - Hockessin, DE

Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ growth and success as a full-time, onsite School Psychologist for elementary and middle school levels. This contract opportunity spans the academic year, beginning August 25, 2026, and concluding June 8, 2027. Work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, providing guidance and psychological services at two closely-located schools. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Active Delaware School Psychologist license required
• Experience working with K-8 student populations preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal education laws
• Background in behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and assessments for students at both assigned schools
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and intervention strategies
• Deliver individual and group counseling as needed
• Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support plans
• Facilitate crisis intervention and support for students and staff
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Serve as a resource for faculty and caregivers on student mental health and wellness
