Position Overview: Cardiologist

As a Cardiologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who require specialized cardiac care. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team model, partnering with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical care to a diverse and expanding patient population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments for patients with specialized cardiac conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including prescribing medications, exercises, and other treatments, as well as conducting tests such as echocardiography, stress testing, vascular ultrasound imaging, nuclear imaging, and managing cardiac device clinics.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure effective patient care management, maintaining continuity through communication with external health and social agencies.
  • Act as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists, consulting on patient care issues.
  • Educate and counsel individuals and groups regarding specific healthcare needs, serving as a specialist in your field.
  • Contribute to the creation of health education programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Cardiology.
  • Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Current active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substances Registration or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on specialty.
  • Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine.
Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this specialty typically ranges from $367,500 to $700,000. Total cash compensation includes base salary and bonuses, influenced by various factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience, with potential increases over time based on productivity and performance. We adhere to all applicable minimum wage laws.
