School Psychologist — Fryeburg, ME (Full-Time)
Location: Fryeburg, ME
Employment Type: Full-time; school-year position (PreK–12)
Start: 2026–2027 school year (flexible start date negotiable)
What you’ll do:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations for students PreK–12.
- Write clear evaluation reports and deliver recommendations that feed IEPs and intervention plans.
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as the district psychologist.
- Coordinate and monitor intervention plans and progress-systems across assigned schools.
- Communicate evaluation results and intervention recommendations to teachers, administrators, and families.
- Optional but preferred: provide individual or small-group counseling when needed.
Must-have qualifications
- Valid/active Maine school psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
- Master’s or Specialist degree (Ed.S., Psy.S.) or higher in School Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and writing reports for PreK–12 students.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and evaluation best practices.
- Reliable transportation (position may require travel between district buildings).
Nice-to-have
- Counseling experience (individual or group).
- Experience working across multiple school sites.
- Familiarity with RTI/MTSS frameworks and behavioral consultation.
Workload and logistics
- Full-time, school-year schedule.
- Primary duties are evaluation, IEP meeting attendance, and intervention coordination; counseling only if candidate can provide it.
- Position may be assigned across up to four district schools — schedule will be coordinated with district.
