Ultrasonographer in Falls Church, VA

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role offers the chance to work closely with high-risk pregnancies, including twins and triplets, and provides exposure to the latest diagnostic tools and procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in OB/MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) sonography
• Documented skillset in MFM sonography within the last 2 years
• Proven experience with nuchal translucency scanning
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ARDMS certification in Obstetrics required
• NT certification preferred, but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed ultrasound imaging for high-risk pregnancies, including advanced first and second trimester screenings in accordance with AIUM and MFM protocols
• Independently scan patients with complex diagnoses such as multiples or congenital anomalies
• Assist providers during amniocentesis and CVS procedures
• Accurately document findings via GE Viewpoint and ensure adherence to healthcare guidelines
• Operate GE E10 and Expert 22 ultrasound machines to deliver high-quality imaging
• Collaborate with a team of 10-14 experienced sonographers in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Rotate through floor orientation within five days
• Maintain professional standards, including wearing black scrubs
