Job Description
Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An excellent opportunity is now available for an experienced Imaging Professional specializing as an X-Ray Technologist. This contract role at a large clinical facility will have you performing crucial diagnostic procedures utilizing advanced radiology technology. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with alternating weekend coverage, totaling 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 months of recent experience as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist
- Demonstrated expertise operating a variety of imaging equipment, including GE platforms
- Comfort and skill working in the Operating Room (OR) environment
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and patient comfort practices
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- Current NJ State RT License and ARRT certification
- Active BLS certification
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-volume, 900-bed hospital setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging and treatment procedures per federal, state, and professional standards
- Oversee and maintain imaging equipment, including troubleshooting and care
- Evaluate and monitor patient safety and comfort prior, during, and after imaging
- Adapt procedures as needed and coordinate daily case flow
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care
- Other related duties as assigned
