This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule working across two school sites, serving both an elementary and a middle school setting. The role will primarily focus on conducting comprehensive assessments, providing consultation services, supporting Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, and occasionally collaborating with social workers. There is also a chance to engage with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

This unique assignment is based just 45 minutes south of Washington, DC, with the flexibility to arrange a hybrid work schedule—four days on-site and one remote day per week, if needed. Educational diagnosticians are available in every building, so no academic achievement testing will be required, allowing a dedicated focus on psychological and behavioral services.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Department of Education certification
• Valid Virginia Psychologist Licensure
• Experience in assessment, consultation, FBA/BIP processes within a school context
• Ability to support MTSS and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with counseling practices (supporting social workers as needed)
• Ready to promptly complete credentialing steps, including VA Dept. of Social Services check and TB Test

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct student assessments
• Provide expert consultation to school teams and families
• Offer support in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
• Collaborate on MTSS initiatives
• Occasionally assist with counseling-related services
