The Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Chief of Hematology/Oncology for a full-time position. We provide exceptional care across three practice locations:

    Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC): A central site offering hospital-based consulting service (no dedicated hematology-oncology inpatient service) and comprehensive outpatient clinics, including a chemo infusion suite.

  • \n

    Healthcare Centers in Kernersville and Charlotte, NC: Both equipped with full chemo infusion capabilities.

Work Schedule

    Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

    Flexibility: Flexible or compressed schedules may be considered.

    Call Coverage: Approximate phone coverage of 1 in 6.

Preferred Qualifications

  • \n

    Certification: ABIM board-certified in hematology-oncology.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience: 5 years in clinical practice, clinical trials, and trainee oversight.

  • \n
\n

Requirements

    \n
  • \n

    Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship, with non-citizens considered only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited.

  • \n
  • \n

    Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.

  • \n
  • \n

    Licensure: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

  • \n
  • \n

    Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty.

  • \n
  • \n

    Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology Oncology.

  • \n
