We are currently looking for an Interventional Cardiologist to join our esteemed cardiovascular institute located in Bristol, Tennessee. Our facility is recognized nationally for its comprehensive cardiovascular services, catering to the major hospitals within our health system and extending to regional offices in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. Our innovative team includes over 50 physicians and surgeons, along with more than 40 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), who collectively specialize in various fields such as general cardiology, interventional cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery.

Position: Interventional Cardiologist - Bristol, Tennessee

We are in search of a skilled Interventional Cardiologist for our Bristol location. This position primarily involves working at Bristol Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and the nearby clinic. The schedule includes 13 weekends annually, with night call responsibilities of 1:6 for STEMI cases and an overall primary service call of 1:4.

BRMC serves as the only hospital for Bristol, TN, and its surrounding communities, providing a wide range of medical services. With a capacity of 312 beds, it operates as a level III trauma center, featuring both adult and pediatric emergency departments, along with a diverse array of medical specialists.

Overview of the Practice Team

Our Bristol team is composed of 8 full-time cardiologists, along with APPs, nurses, and support personnel. This full-time position represents the sole cardiovascular group at BRMC and within the region, ensuring a stable environment that emphasizes high-quality care and a family-friendly culture.

Focus Areas and Opportunities in Practice

The cardiology team in Bristol specializes in general cardiology, advanced treatment for congestive heart failure (CHF), pacemaker implantation, structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, and advanced imaging techniques. Opportunities available include cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, pacemaker/ICD implantation, and cardiovascular imaging.

Practice Details:

• The BRMC cath lab conducts coronary interventions, STEMI PCIs, traditional and leadless pacemaker implants, CardioMems implants, ASD/PFO closures, and peripheral vascular interventions such as EVAR and thrombectomy procedures.
• Advanced cardiac support devices, including Impella and IABP, are available.
• The noninvasive lab offers stress tests, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and nuclear MPI stress tests.
• On-site CHF clinic equipped with CardioMems remote monitoring services.
• Experienced APPs provide support in both clinic and hospital settings.
• Advanced Imaging Department capable of CT and nuclear MPI stress testing.
• Referral opportunities available for vascular surgery and structural heart interventions.
