Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical professionals and other care team members, the RN provides tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers while embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

  • Administers procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation in patient medical records.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients and families on non-medical follow-up measures, including healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
  • Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to surpass quality benchmarks and enhance patient care.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the quality of care through the coordination, evaluation, customization, and delivery of holistic treatment plans that support recovery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Active and in good standing Missouri RN Licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN or ADN required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (ICU, ED, PACU).
  • ENPC and PALS certifications within 60 days of employment start date.
  • TNCC or ATCN certification within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with Meditech.
