Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting elementary students in a contract role specializing in school psychology. This opportunity begins August 6, 2026, and runs through May 20, 2027, with an optional psychology meeting on July 29th for those available. Serve pre-K through 5th-grade students, including some with behavioral support needs, in a collaborative educational environment. The position features a hybrid schedule: work onsite three days per week and remotely two days, providing flexibility and balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current School Psychologist license appropriate for Kansas
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children (pre-K–5th grade)
- Background in behavioral support or intervention is a plus
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a changing caseload
- Ability to balance confidentiality with professional engagement and reporting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation competencies
- Must submit an up-to-date resume and licensure document; have references prepared prior to interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct psychological services to students
- Develop individualized intervention plans in cooperation with educators and families
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and emotional health
- Support classroom teachers through consultation and behavioral strategy planning
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention when needed
- Maintain comprehensive documentation according to school and legal guidelines
- Attend relevant meetings, including an early-year psychology session if possible
