Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Ability to interpret psychoeducational data and communicate results effectively
- Familiarity with IEP process and special education law
- Collaborative approach with students, staff, and families
- Excellent organizational and written communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive academic, behavioral, and emotional assessments
- Develop and implement strategies to address students’ academic and social/emotional needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on learning and behavioral challenges
- Assist in the identification and support of students in crisis or those requiring further evaluation
- Promote a safe and inclusive school climate
