Job Description
Exciting opportunities are available for experienced School Psychologists for the 2026–2027 academic year. These contract positions serve approximately five campuses in either South or West Houston, supporting students with comprehensive psychological services in a dynamic, inclusive school environment.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Texas School Psychologist credential/licensure (documentation required at submission)
- Demonstrated school-based experience as a School Psychologist
- Ability to work on-site (hybrid report writing from home may be considered)
- Available for a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
- Reliable personal transportation to travel between campuses
- Able to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services including assessments, counseling, and interventions
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student needs and individualized support plans
- Complete timely and accurate psychoeducational evaluations and participate in multi-disciplinary teams
- Manage caseload across multiple campuses and collaborate with educational staff effectively
- Adhere to ethical standards and state regulations for school psychological services
Additional Information:
- Contract runs from July 30, 2026 through May 28, 2027
- Candidates will be assigned to either South or West Houston clusters
- Comprehensive documentation required for submission
