Quick Facts: Location: 1900 Columbus Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708 Start Date: 03/01/2026 End Date: 12/28/2026 (with extensions possible through 2027) Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call coverage) Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shift) Hours per week: Approx. 40 hours (varies by shift) Employment Type: Locum tenens Licensure & Certifications: Michigan medical license, Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology, ERCP required Experience: At least 2 years in GI practice required Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly rates (rates to include malpractice) Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2 employment) Paid sick time in accordance with state/federal laws Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other applicable expenses within policy limits Robust referral bonus program What You’ll Do: Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology services, including ERCP procedures Conduct screenings and diagnostic procedures such as mammography, ultrasound, biopsies, and MRI-guided interventions Support hospitalist teams and coordinate patient care with local colorectal surgeons Manage 24-hour call coverage (Monday–Thursday), with shifts scheduled for 12-hour periods on Fridays Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure smooth unit operations Document clinical findings and procedures accurately Ensure adherence to facility policies and safety standards What You Need: Valid medical license in Michigan Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology ERCP certification/experience is required Minimum 2 years of GI practice experience Strong clinical skills and ability to manage 24-hour call shifts Excellent communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This position is based at a reputable hospital in Bay City, Michigan, offering a supportive environment with hospitalist support and a community-oriented atmosphere.
