We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Sales Associate to join our lumber yard team. This role is crucial for supporting our sales operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to the efficient processing of orders. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of lumber products and prior sales experience, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Lumber Sales Associate Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:00pm)

• Actively assist customers on the sales floor by taking and accurately documenting orders.
• Apply basic knowledge of lumber types to assist customers and accurately process orders.
• Accurately differentiate between various types of lumber products.
• Manage incoming calls, efficiently taking and processing customer orders over the phone.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to office staff, contributing to overall office efficiency.

Lumber Sales Associate Qualifications:

• Proven sales experience, preferably in a retail or industrial setting.
• Basic knowledge of lumber products and the ability to distinguish between different types.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction and order documentation.
• Must be able to maintain focus and attention to detail.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
