Job Opportunity: Advanced Cardiac Imager

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Cardiac Imager who is passionate about full-spectrum imaging to join our comprehensive structural heart program.

Position Overview

As a vital member of our experienced Heart Team, you will focus on structural heart imaging within our multidisciplinary structural heart center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concentrate on structural heart and interventional transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), including both intra-procedural and pre-procedure imaging.
  • Maintain a flexible weekly schedule that may include:
    • 2 days of TEE
    • 2 days in clinic
    • 1-2 days for additional CT, MRI, and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) readings as required
  • Engage in structural heart CT and cardiac MRI interpretation.
  • Participate in our multidisciplinary Valve Clinic and Conference.
  • Contribute to clinical trials focused on transcatheter therapies for structural heart and interventional heart failure, with opportunities for future leadership roles.
About Our Program

Our structural heart program is the most comprehensive and established in the state and region, offering all commercially available transcatheter therapies for aortic, mitral, and tricuspid diseases, including TAVR, M-TEER, TMVR, T-TEER, and TTVR.

Our team consists of 41 cardiologists, 62 advanced practice providers, 3 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 3 vascular surgeons, with ongoing growth in our services. We also have a busy advanced heart failure program that provides all forms of mechanical circulatory support (MCS), including Impella, ECMO, and LVAD therapies.

Support staff includes 2 advanced practice providers and 3 nursing professionals dedicated to the Structural Heart service line, ensuring a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care.

Call Schedule

Call responsibilities are unrestricted, allowing for a better work-life balance.

Technology and Tools

Utilize smart technology to enhance patient care without extending your workday. Our providers leverage Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative tasks, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of a fellowship in cardiology with a focus on advanced cardiac imaging, including structural heart imaging and interventional TEE.
  • Board certification or eligibility in cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac CT.
  • We encourage applications from both experienced professionals and those graduating in cardiac imaging.
