Join Our Team as a Non-invasive Cardiologist

We are excited to announce an opening for a Non-invasive Cardiologist at our facility located at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Situated at the intersection of First Avenue and 97th Street in Manhattan, this hospital serves over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits, and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions each year. Our institution has a strong academic partnership with a prominent medical college.

Opportunity Overview:
  • Conduct nuclear stress tests, EKG stress tests, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), EKGs, and various Holter monitor assessments.
  • Provide clinical care as a "Direct Panel Attending" from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM.
  • Supervise and mentor medical residents.
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties approximately every second to third week, covering Monday through Sunday.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography.
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Current New York State medical license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $340,000* (board eligible); $350,000* (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation is available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Total Compensation Package: Estimated at $469,520** (board eligible) and $480,520** (board certified), including base salary, 401(k) contributions, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Potential bonus of up to $40,000 based on quality and productivity targets from the previous year.
  • 401(k) Contributions: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year, an additional 7% contribution is provided.
  • Annual reimbursement for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
  • Comprehensive medical, prescription, and dental coverage with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
