\nMcWilliams Forge Company, in Rockaway, NJ, is a well-established leader in the manufacture of precision forged products for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a Heat Treat Helper in our Heat Treat department. Candidates must have good eye and hand coordination. Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment a plus.
\nShift: Friday-Sunday, 5am-5pm
\nAssists shift lead with hardening or tempering metal objects by performing any combination of the following duties:
\nLoading, unloading, and verify quantity of parts per work order documentation, and job instructions
\nQuenches heated parts in liquid baths such as oil or water
\nPerform maintenance (TPM) to the equipment
\nFollows verbal and written instructions given by Supervision
\nReports any Heat Treat discrepancies to Heat Treat Lead person
\nSome judgement required for following instructions and standardized procedures
\nOther duties as needed to meet production needs
\nBasic math skills required for addition, subtraction, and time calculations
\nAssist in multiple departments as needed
\nRequirements:

- Able to be proficient in English in order to speak, read and write instructions. \n
- Assist other departments as needed. \n
- Be available to work overtime and/or weekends as needed \n
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. \n
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency or equivalent years of manufacturing experience \n
- Being comfortable working in an environment that has temperature swings (including working in the hot or cold) \n
