Quad Packaging is seeking a Flexo Press Operator for our Franklin, WI location. This is your opportunity to enhance your skills working with the industry’s most advanced Packaging equipment. Employees can be expected to be paid an hourly range of $20.00 - $31.00 / hour, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.

We have the following shift options:
\n
2nd Shift is Monday - Friday 1 pm - 9 pm (3.00 shift premium)
\n
3rd Shift is Sunday - Thursday 9 pm - 5 am (3.00 shift premium)
\n
If hired, you may train on a different shift if your availability allows.
\n
Essential Functions of this position include:
\n
\n - Prepare for Operation - Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press. Ensure the machine is adequately stocked with the correct raw materials for each job.
\n - Operate Flexographic Press - Operate assigned equipment within Company safety standards and department SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications. Continually monitor supply levels of inks, paper, and other required materials to add as needed. Make routine adjustments as needed to maintain print quality, cut quality, and correct any issues as soon as possible.
\n - Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
\n - Perform Quality Checks - Complete quality checklist(s) and other required documentation. Perform visual quality checks of the product throughout the printing process to ensure customer satisfaction. Flag bad product for removal from the job run. Cut samples from each job and compare them to product standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
\n - Perform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all products from the line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order.

Qualifications:
\n
\n - Previous Mark Andy P7 or Webtron Flexo experience preferred (other makes and models will be considered).
\n - Knowledge of the setup and operation of a flexographic printing press.
\n - Mechanical aptitude and skills to perform troubleshooting and maintenance.
\n - Attention to detail and accuracy.
\n - Excellent communication skills.
\n - Ability to analyze problems for root causes and determine solutions.
\n - Ability to match and detect differences in similar color shades and hues.
\n - Ability to understand, remember, and apply/follow written and verbal instructions.
\n - Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information.
\n - Ability to complete routine, existing forms.
\n - Ability to organize one's schedule and tasks for efficient workflow and production.
\n - Ability to perform tasks with room for personal interpretation; problem-solving involves a supervisor when needed.
\n - Ability to count accurately, as well as to subtract, multiply, and divide numerical data.
\n - Ability to use measuring equipment to determine substrate sizes, etc.
\n - Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.
\n - Ability to work 8-hour shifts, with overtime and holidays as required (OT paid over 40 hours per week).
\n - Ability to work overtime is required.
\n

\n - Requires work in a noisy, fast-paced environment where forklifts and other machinery are used.
