Full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist
Job Description

\nKey Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients in an inpatient setting
\n - \n
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and coordination of care
\n - \n
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, social work, case management, and therapy staff
\n - \n
Participate in patient and family education to support treatment goals and continuity of care
\n - \n
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
\n - \n
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards for patient safety and clinical excellence
\n - \n
Support program development and participate in efforts to enhance behavioral health services
\n - \n
Demonstrate leadership potential through mentorship, collaboration, and participation in department initiatives, with the opportunity to advance into a Lead Physician role
\n
Qualifications
\n* MD or DO from an accredited institution
\n* Completion of an accredited General Adult Psychiatry Residency
\n* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
\n* Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
\n* Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred
\n* Demonstrated interest in leadership or program development is highly desirable
\n* Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred

\nCompensation Range: $250,000.00 - $552,240.00 annually
