\n QUALIFICATIONS\n
\n
\n
\n Minimum of five years of Fitting experience\n
\n
\n Technical training preferred\n
\n
\n Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and instruments associated with the Fitting trade\n
\n
\n Must be able to work effectively with others\n
\n
\n Comprehend blueprints, sketches, and templates.\n
\n
\n Enter and move through manholes to reach and work internally confined spaces\n
\n
\n
\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • Template creation
    • \n
  • Working with presses, floor shaping, forming plates, shaping from templates, marking symbols, doors, hatches and scuttles, rolls, presses and blacksmith shop
    • \n
  • Laying out blueprints, checking and fitting materials, tack welding of small assemblies, aluminum and steel foundations and outfitting items
    • \n
  • Laying out blueprints, checking and fitting materials, tack welding of various sub-assemblies peculiar to the panel line and shell area such as: decks, bulkheads, side shells.
    • \n
  • Installation of structural outfit items, doors, ladders, foundations
    • \n
  • Effective sequencing of assembly and fitting
    • \n
  • Correct use of heating torches in plate heat straightening and shrinkage
    • \n
