Job Description
A direct-hire opportunity is available for a Meat Cutter / Butcher in Miami, FL, with a very successful restaurant group that has been in Miami for over 30 years. This role is ideal for a hands-on food preparation professional with 1-2 years of experience who takes pride in precise cuts, product quality, customer service, and sanitation.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning about meat quality and preparation, and being part of a positive food service culture.
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, tie, grind, portion, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, fish, and other meat products according to quality and presentation standards.
- Wrap, weigh, label, price, package, store, and rotate meat products to support freshness, inventory control, and waste reduction.
- Assist customers by explaining cuts, recommending products, preparing special orders, and promoting items based on customer needs.
- Prepare and arrange meat cuts and products in display cases to create an attractive and appealing presentation.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries while verifying quality, freshness, and proper handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area while following food safety, equipment safety, and proper storage procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $45,000 to $52,000 per year.
