Ultrasonographer Tech - East Hampton, New York

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position requires a detail-oriented ultrasound technologist or sonographer with experience in operating modern ultrasound equipment and delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or registry in diagnostic medical sonography (ARDMS or equivalent)
• Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging within a clinical setting
• Proficiency in performing abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound studies
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with both patients and healthcare staff
• Ability to work independently, maintain accurate records, and follow safety protocols
• Up-to-date knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians and document findings accurately
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care
• Maintain meticulous records, including image archiving and exam documentation
• Practice infection control procedures and adhere to facility guidelines
• Assist with departmental tasks as directed to ensure smooth workflow
